What days can I get married at Cairns Farm Estate?
You can get married on Wednesdays and Saturdays at Cairns Farm Estate.
Can I reserve a date?
You can, we hold dates for 7 days without requiring a deposit.
What is the minimum number of guests for the wedding?
We have a minimum of 70 guests for off peak Saturdays (Nov to Mar) and all Wednesdays throughout the year. 80 guests are required for our Peak Saturdays (Apr to Oct). Children are not included in minimum numbers.
What is the maximum number of guests for the wedding?
We can accommodate up to 130 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, and a further 40 additional guests for your evening reception.
What is included in my package?
We’re an exclusive use venue, so the whole venue is yours! In your package we include 2 nights’ accommodation (including our Farmhouse which sleeps 10 and The Keep, our honeymoon hideaway for two). A 3-course wedding breakfast, ½ bottle of wine and 2 glasses of fizz and our serviced bar with a great selection of drinks, all by our exclusive caterer, Hickory. Table styling by our expert planners, your own dedicated wedding planner and our trusted event manager to make sure things run smoothly on the day.
Do you allow outside caterers?
We do not allow external caterers. All your food and drink is included in your package and we’re proud to work exclusively with trusted Hickory, who deliver leading-edge food and drink experiences – you won’t be disappointed!
Do you cater for dietaries?
Absolutely! We have vegetarian and vegan menus and can make sure we meet all you and your guests’ dietary requirements.
Does Hickory have to supply the wedding cake?
Hickory does not have to supply the wedding cake, you can provide this. We just ask the maker of the cake to sign a disclaimer. You can also bring in your own sweetie tables, doughnut walls and other additions we know are popular!
Do you allow corkage?
We do not allow corkage, but don’t worry, we have fabulous range of drinks. Plus, if we don’t have what you are looking for, we will do our best to source it for you!
When will I be invited to a tasting?
You will be invited to our Exclusive Tasting Event around 4 – 6 months prior to your wedding date.
Can I bring my dog?
We are a working sheep farm with animals living close to the venue, therefore, unfortunately, you cannot bring dogs to the venue.
Can I have a firework display?
You cannot have fireworks at Cairns Farm Estate as we are a working sheep farm, you can, however, have sparklers.
Can I have confetti?
We love confetti! We do ask that this is biodegradable and used outside only.
Can I have candles?
We do allow the use of candles; these have to be in a deep holder and cannot have an open flame.
How many guests can I have to stay?
At Cairns your wedding package includes accommodation for 12 people in The Farmhouse and The Keep, and our Cabins are available to be booked by you or your guests, sleeping an additional 12.
Will the Cabins be rented out if I don’t use them?
The Cabins are exclusive to you. You do not need to book them out, your guests can book directly.
What is already in The Farmhouse and The Keep?
We supply bedding, towels, dressing gowns & crockery for our accommodation so you don’t need to bring any of this with you. We can provide extra linen for you at an additional charge.
